soy diatribe // 2002-05-07

i went to the starbucks by work this morning to get a small cup of soymilk to use with my oatmeal for breakfast because i was too lazy to walk over to the grocery store across the street. but holy cow--it cost $2.13! unbelievable. how in the world can 8 oz. of soymilk be so expensive? by those calculations, a 32 oz. carton of soymilk should be almost $9.00. sorry, but in my world soymilk flows from the ground like a hotspring and soybeans rain from the sky like manna from heaven.
