today is a very special day // 2002-06-21

i'm a wreck (work blah blah blah, hence no update yesterday). but that's okay, because yesterday arno and i left work at lunch and ate burritos and bought comics (new love & rockets, new 100 bullets, the fall, and a box of fabulousness from an israeli collective) and today i took 2 hours for a GOG lunch where i had a fancy pink drink topped with a yellow plastic monkey. today is also many, many things to me. notably, it's the summer solstice, my three year anniversary working here (yikes), and the one year anniversary of the day i met c (at a going away party for someone at work, in the backyard of a much-too-expensive house overlooking seattle owned by a bitchy woman... i was wearing a pink plastic lei and he was wearing a blue one, and he charmed the heck out of me).

p.s. the other day i was eating crackers in my living room and noticed that some crumbs had collected on the floor below me. instead of picking them up and disposing of them, i lifted the corner of my rug and tidily swept the crumbs underneath. it was a surprisingly liberating thing to do.
