the uniting theme of this weekend was my nordic heritage. on a hot tip from ikahana and fishmael, c and i celebrated tivoli (viking days) at the nordic heritage museum in ballard. it was exactly as they described--small and quaint. it was too hot for me, though, but c and i stood diligently in line in the blistering sun for some delicious danish donut-like spheres, the name of which escapes me now. they were especially delicious under the tent with the tables and the music. to continue the theme, c and i went to see elling--a norwegian film--on sunday, which was sweet and made me cry just a little bit. norwegian is sexy, by the way.

but today i'm sick. bah.
