irregardless, i'm still crampy // 2003-03-19

the other day an editor in my group was promoted to senior editor. fancy. today we were joking about how she now has access to the senior editor lounge. ah, if only the senior editor lounge existed. we'd all sit around a fireplace in chippendale chairs, smoking pipes and sipping on brandy, discussing misuse of the words "fewer" and "less", and laughing over the fool in the meeting who said "irregardless". touch�, old chap!

what she doesn't know is that the senior editor lounge is really the handicapped stall in the 7th floor women's restroom.

this morning i brought in top pot donuts for my team because they're so fabulous and stellar and all that. i wasn't going to eat one, but then i did, and now i regret it. now my teeth are so coated in sugar that they feel like they're going to fall out. plus my tummy is all upset what with cramps and whatnot. i think this period has gone on for two weeks now already. i guess that's what happens when you forget to take your pill for a week. blargh.

geez, i'm useless today.
