i don't remember precisely when, but many years ago there was some sitcom on for all of three episodes or something, where the premise was that a young woman moved to paris in order to be an editor for some business or other. she was supposedly hired to translate documents already translated from french into english, but poorly. so she was the one who was supposed to translate the bad english translation into good english. but when she got to paris, she realized it was all some kind of scam, but she was stuck in paris anyhow, and then i have no idea what really happened because the rest of the show was actually stupid.
i'm only remembering this show well because i always thought that the bad english to good english translation job really made a lot of sense, even though i know it was supposed to sound stupid given the situation on the show (like how could she believe a stupid job like that would be real?). and i'm remembering it now because i'm in the midst of posting some manufacturer content to our site that was badly translated from korean to english. these people could sure use me to move there and translate their badly translated information:
No Trouble for Windows XP
and p.s., if you remember the name of that short-lived sitcom, please please please let me know. |
