to get you through // 2003-10-28

tonight we drove down to tacoma with anika to see david sedaris, and i was thinking, while listening to him read, that i really, really wanted to have children. i didn't come to this conclusion in any obvious way you might imagine, but in a way that made it feel like an original and perfect and purely intentioned idea.

also, today i looked at dead bodies in the gross anatomy lab and it went over better than i thought it would, though it certainly flipped me out. however, in order not to completely lose it while watching my teacher peel away bits of skin and muscle and fascia, i kept thinking about cannibalism (which everyone knows is the funniest thing on earth), and how the muscles looked like nice, stringy bits of beef (that would make good fajitas) and how i could just bite into an arm and it would be oh-so-tasty. oh god, now that's funny.
