in other strange online searches for things of my past i ran across this picture:

i was in this joint theater production with a novosibirsk children's theater in siberia in 1989. this is us after a show in russia (at that time, it was actually the USSR). i'm the weird-looking, dark-colored, troll-like creature crouching 2nd from the right in the front. i had a russian love, dima, who is standing 3rd from left, sporting the crazy fu manchu mustache. and if you have a really keen eye, you'll see chris kattan (from snl) just below him in the bare chest and red suspenders. ha ha! i went to siberia with chris kattan when i was 14! double ha ha!

it's funny how you take for granted the weird and cool things you did when you were younger.
