leisure // 2004-09-03

*later today:
i spent the evening making, kneading, and letting two loaves of egg bread rise, and now it's baking in the oven. i'm drinking a bottle of wine, knitting, and watching trashy television. oh god, does it get any better than this?

*******************

so, i took the final for my five element class and turned in my final paper for history of medicine on thucydides and zhang zhong-jing on monday, and then spent tuesday and wednesday finishing the massive work assignment for am@zon, and now i'm more or less done with everything that needed doing. at least for the next few weeks and until school starts up again. yesterday c and i went out to see a movie (movies!) in the afternoon, and though vanity fair wasn't the best movie ever, i've concluded that james purefoy is super dreamy sexy. who knew? and today c and i played at two more tennis courts, thereby reviving the seattle tennis tour. and since we were at the georgetown playfield, we drove across the train tracks and had pizza at stellar (ne stella), and played several rounds of lost cities.

what's next in this life of leisure? i plan on tidying things up in the apartment, working on my knitting project (the union square poncho from weekend knitting... oh hey! look at the review i wrote of the book on amazon), and reading. at last, i can read for pleasure again... for a while at least.
