it's time for a drink // 2004-11-28

kinsey was a fine movie, but the main thing i learned from it is that neither man nor woman can resist the charms of peter sarsgaard. holy crap, is he sexy.

i spent yesterday at the seattle marathon expo manning a table for school where we were to answer questions about school and tell people about the acupuncture treatments we would be giving after the race today. but our table was in the farthest corner of the room and hardly anyone came up to us during our four long hours there, aside from two different guys to hit on me and amber. one guy actually used the lame line, "i'm not a doctor, i just play one on TV." huh? seriously, it didn't even make any sense. i appreciated how stony-faced amber was, because the two of us together were just not having it. the chumps just wandered off in time when they realized they weren't getting any.

i am now in the midst of writing a paper on Candida for my microbiology class (which just isn't happening, unless you count making a cover sheet, a page of pictures, and a references list and writing one intro sentence worthy of a mentally disabled third grader) and finishing up a monster homework assignment for chinese herbs. after this week, i'll be facing one week of nine grueling finals and then i'm done for the quarter. realistically i'm sure i'll survive, but from where i'm viewing things now, it seems highly unlikely.
