at the risk of appearing pompous, i'm listing my top ten movies from 2004. i just see so many movies, and it's nice to notice that i've seen some really good ones. also, aren't lists a pleasing way to sum up a year of one's life?

yes, i'm aware of the fact that three of these movies actually came out in 2003, but i saw them this year and i'm guessing that you did, too, if you saw them at all. so there.

and now i'm spending the last day of 2004 wearing my pretty new apron, baking dulce de leche coconut macaroons, listening to stevie wonder, and drinking delicious tea. i couldn't ask for more.
