slow skate, couple skate, all skate
// 2005-04-13
sunday night we went rollerskating at the skate king in bellevue. i had no idea it would be that fun. i walked in thinking, "how many laps around this rink will i be able to take?" and i left thinking, "when can i come back, and how long will it take for me to master backwards skating?" i couldn't believe that there are people out there who take rollerskating that seriously. seriously! and an observation: what looks super cool on rollerskates looks remarkable dorky on rollerblades. ew.
something that's been bothering me: cherry-flavored dried cranberries (i refuse to use the word craisins). i bought some in desperation when the grocery store didn't have actual dried cherries, but i soon realized that was a mistake. i can't quite comprehend taking a dried cranberry and flavoring it with cherry flavor. and not even convincing cherry flavor, but the kind of cherry flavor a 6 year old would find delicious. what's next? cod flavored salmon? pork flavored lamb?
lastly, paula abdul must be either deaf or retarded. otherwise, i just simply can't find an explanation for her. |
