i had drinks with my pal rickey the other night, and via a long conversation about music started talking about trini lopez and his version of bye bye blackbird, which i've adored for quite a while. rickey mentioned the lovely cover of the song by joe cocker, and he emailed me the mp3 this morning. i put it on my ipod and listened to it on repeat during the entire drive to school today and back home again. over the past few hours i've become increasingly more obsessed with the song and i have now been downloading different versions of it all night. i've now got covers by:
