moving is stinky.

we are now in our new house, sleeping on a mattress on the floor of our dining room. not sure how long this will last: we have plans for the upstairs but just getting started can be difficult. the first night we were there neither of use slept well, what with all the strange new house noises. at about 2am we heard a huge roar, and i assumed it was coming from outside the house, but c was sure it was something inside. we both sleepily got up, and went to the kitchen to discover that the ice maker in the freezer was creating ice like mad, and just dumping it in the empty freezer repeatedly. and then sometime just before dawn our security system started beeping, which of course is quite troubling.

last night was much better, though.

we currently don't have dsl in the house, so we must come down to the university zoka to use the interweb. it's almost nice not being a slave to my computer.

today i went on a pleasant, long bike ride with a group of canadians. i got to be canadian by association.

tomorrow is my birthday. i will be 31 years old. yay, me!
