where is my head? // 2005-12-06

i am justaboutthisclose to being done with finals. tomorrow is my last, and most difficult, one. i totally ditto ms. myra lee's sentiments: the thought of seeing movies again is what's getting me through this. oh, hello sarah silverman! i tried to study all weekend, but instead decided on saturday that i needed to unpack and re-organize most of the house. so i spent three manic hours opening up boxes, shelving books, and carrying heavy furniture and boxes up and down stairs until our living room became actually inhabitable and our bedroom finally moved from the main floor dining room to a real bedroom upstairs. (a real bedroom! upstairs!) plus we have a real sofa to sit on in our little tv room. wheee! all this was so we could get our christmas tree on sunday and have a place for it in our living room. i'm waiting until finals are really over to put up lights and decorate it.

yes, there are still boxes hiding in corners, but this is so much better i want to cry with relief.

the other excitement last week was snow. big-flaked, wet, mushy snow that melted almost immediately. it made our street pretty for a while, though.

and how's this for good timing? tomorrow night, when i'm done with finals, i get to settle down to the finale of ANTM, followed by the two-hour premiere of project runway. yay for guilt-free, trashy television!
