pfeffermintz! // 2002-09-10

ok, now i really think i'm going to make some sense. snowsuits on the first day of school make no sense at all, now that i think about it. my sister's black cat is watching me from the bed, and my sister and c are chatting in the living room while olivia is sleeping on her chest. she cried all evening long and is now tuckered out the way only babies can be. i am no good with babies. whenever i pick her up, she just cries. which is probably ok, as i am so very not ready to have a baby.

today we went to frankfurt to get tickets to paris. we had a time on the train there. (i've always depended upon the kindness of strangers.) german is quite difficult, you know. but today we succeeded in taking two trains all by ourselves, ordering hot chocolate in a cafe and paying for it, using a train station rest room, deciphering the ingredients on a jar of pasta sauce (did you know that knoblauch means garlic... chuck garlic--ha ha!), and drinking peppermint (pfeffermintz) and green (grun) tea at a cafe.

tomorrow we will do even more.
