it's all overwhelming, isn't it? i made it through orientation last week and my first day of classes today. i figured everything out and didn't make a fool of myself and even made some friends. friends! me!

somehow, though, the wires got crossed when i watched harry potter a couple of weeks ago and ever since then i've imagined that i'm going to wizards school, too. i keep thinking that i'll be learning spells and potions and charms and herbology and transfiguration instead of meridians and points and tui na and acupuncture technique and qi gong and chinese herbs. i'm glad i'm learning acupuncture, but seriously, wouldn't it be awesome to be a wizard?

a painting fell on my head last night and left a bump that hurts when i touch it. and yet i can't stop touching it.

oh yeah, and my tui na professor has an extra tiny thumb. no kidding. it's mesmerizing.
