cold, wet, and tired // 2004-10-17

after spending two nights in the cold and the rain scaring and haunting people**, i totally needed a day like today. i slept in to an unheard of 10:30, and c and i went to see the early show of i heart huckabees at the egyptian. we followed it by a trip to buy magazines and a late breakfast at el greco. upon returning home i climbed into bed with a stack of magazines and later, my man. insert several hours of studying, to find me now in front of the television with bad TV and a pumpkin beer.

yesterday afternoon was also spent in the cold and the rain in the woods with this fellow on a plant walk as part of my botany class. i was only one of four people from class who actually showed up, mostly because i offered to drive him up to school from seattle. he was fascinating to talk to, and knows more about plants than anyone i've ever met... not like i know many people who know much about plants.

**oh, and if you live in seattle and want to come out to haunted trails, you totally should! we're also doing it next weekend and it's very fun. or ever better, if you were interested in being one of the people who jumps out of the woods to scare people, you're more than welcome to since we need volunteers. plus, i'll get more money to go to china in a couple of years if you volunteer as my friend.
