no lie, this was in an email from a guy in our neighborhood to a city council member about how ravenna park needs some cleaning up:

FYI, there have been some very bad things happening in the park since my last email. I very am sorry to say this is no exaggeration: my neighbor saw a ritual pig-killing, followed by the spreading of blood around the park and a screaming chase that appeared to end in violence. Not exactly family friendly activity. Someone is going to get hurt unless there�s a serious and sustained crackdown that lets everyone know this stuff isn�t allowed.

do we really need to post signs that say that ritual pig killings aren't allowed in public parks? i kind of thought that was the type of thing that everyone knew, but i guess some people need reminding.
